Additional Improvements Needed at Camp McClintock Updated 11/16/2007

Replacement of the decking (and fasteners) on the swinging bridge [this work has been started but much of the bridge remains to be re-decked] Clean the camp fire ring of weeds and debris, add new gravel and rake, replace present seating with new boards Spread gravel in the area around the Cub Cabin for parking Rework the trail from the Cub Cabin to the Dining Hall making slope and drainage improvements and adding a gravel topping General clean-up of the camp including weed-eating around trees, pipes etc., clearing low hanging limbs, raking leaves into burn piles Upgrade water system sign posts with welded lettering on identification disks, repaint posts and disks Re-paint outside woodwork on dining hall (need funding) Re-apply sealer to flashing where it meets the wall on the porch roof of dining hall Remove nails, staples, push pins, etc. from all windows and walls in dining hall Haul away debris (old windows, appliances, etc.) from camp and dispose Re-paint gate posts Develop "primitive" campsites around top of hill on the west side of the creek (west and north of the cabin) Improve trail to creek access (at south end of the meadow) with improved drainage and fill material Re-grade road and fill holes (need funding) Clean (really clean) kitchen in dining hall Repair/replace kitchen lights in dining hall Re-work sink plumbing in dining hall Install tankless water heater in dining hall (need funding) Clean all surfaces of pavilion, then seal and paint (need funding) Install new windows in north and south end of dining hall Build posts and add a new roof over new patio on southeast corner of dining hall (need funding) Dig out and haul away sand in southwest corner of meadow along creek to provide a crossing (need funding) Create and place new signs around camp to identify trails, buildings, campsites, etc. (need funding) Add gravel in seating area of chapel Install signage on existing posts at chapel (need funding) Perform upkeep on portion of Osage Hills trail on camp property (and to park, off property, if needed) (need funding) Grade parking area south of dining hall and add gravel to smooth out the area Add a gate near shower house to control vehicle traffic into meadow Place parking guides (old telephone poles ?) in parking areas (need funding) Install water storage tank (serves as surplus storage and for fire fighting) (need funding) Develop a shooting sports area (need funding) Repair "Fitness Trail" on western edge of meadow (may need funding) Overhaul kitchen in dining hall (need funding) Install radiant heaters in dining hall Install improved ramp on south end of dining hall and extend sidewalk east to new patio area Rewire and repair PA system in dining hall Extend stone sidewalk from campmaster cabin to road area and enlarge stone "patio" area around front porch (need funding) Assist with camp maintenance in an on-going program
